Observation Detailing #1 : Wardrobe

This is a timber wardrobe that is in my room. It is a two - sliding door wardrobe which also has two drawers. The detail drawing consists of a 3D view, a front elevation and also a blow-up detailing of how the sliding doors work. I know, it is pretty interesting ;)

Built-In Furniture and Loose Furniture

I'm pretty sure everyone knows what built-in and loose furniture are. To those of you who don't, well, I don't really know how to respond :p But on a serious note, built-in furniture are permanently fixed either to a wall or ceiling or even to the floor. They are usually customized according to the designer's  or client's taste and they fit in perfectly into a designated place. Loose furniture are all the other furniture that we see around that are not stationary and can be moved around. We usually buy freestanding or loose furniture for our homes only to realize that sometimes they don't really fit into the place we've always wanted it to be. Hence, built-ins are more neat and gives a tidy overall look to a space. Which is why it is usually more expensive :p An example of a built-in cabinet for a living room. A n example of a loose bathroom furniture.
