CSI_Week 04 (17th - 21st April)

Mr Vickram gave us a proposal letter to be used when approaching any sponsors.  Since I had contacts from my previous service projects for the homeless, I tried asking for sponsorship or any other way that they can help. However most of them could not contribute much since they already have their ongoing projects that they needed to concentrate on.  By this week, our project was given a name and a tagline. Presenting, Aur & Tebing - "Your change to make a change" The Campaigning team's first fund raising activity was the food sale. Their whole concept was easy to execute. People pre-order the fixed menu for the day and the following week, their food will be distributed to them. This was the menu that was prepared by their team. Our team were to help them in the distribution of the food.

CSI_Week 03 (10th - 14th April)

Every week, we have group tutorials with our lecturers to update on our progress.  We were asked to try and find sponsors or NGOs to support our cause.  Here are our lecturers caught in action :p Besides that, for the Campaigning group, we needed to select a T-shirt colour for all of us. This T-shirt was then going to be printed with out logo and design.  From the list of colours given to us, we finally decided on the Dark Melange Grey t-shirt. Looking forward to the final outcome of the tee design!

CSI_Week 02 (3rd - 7th April)

Group 5 it is! I decided to join the Distribution group since I've had a lot of experience in helping the homeless. With me, I had 5 people in this group. This week we started off by planning what exactly is to be done by each group. Since distribution was the last stage, we needed to try and help the other groups wherever possible. We created a whatsapp group just for our group. This helped to ease the communication and task distribution amongst ourselves.

CSI_Week 01 (27th - 31st Mar)

Final year, here I come! As part of our Semester 6, we have Community Service Initiative as a subject. It is a subject where you learn through service and foster a sense of care and concern for the needy. Mr Vickram & Ms Diana were the lecturers for this subject! Our lecturers introduced our project that we are going to undertake. This semester, we are to design and compile a Self Care Kit for the unfortunate homeless people around KL. Our whole class were divided into 5 groups depending on our interests on the tasks that are to be done in each category.
